Hating the USA & Supporting the violence in Iraq

[Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Dec. 14, 2005

Saddam Hussein was one of the Palestinian Authority's closest allies. Before and during the war in Iraq the PA broadcast repeated messages in support of Iraq and hatred of the US. Verbal attacks, including calls to kill Americans, are broadcast regularly in the PA media. This hatred is likewise expressed graphically via political cartoons in the tightly controlled PA press.
