Thanksgiving after Communion
“Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling”(Zech 2:13).
A period of thanksgiving is in order after receiving communion. Inaestimabile Donum, §17 states: “The faithful are to be recommended not to omit to make a proper thanksgiving after Communion. They may do this during the celebration with a period of silence, with a hymn, psalm or other song of praise, or also after the celebration, if possible by staying behind to pray for a suitable time.”© Evangelization Station, 2010

This is the time to adore, offer thanks, and make your petitions. These are precious moments, open your soul to His transforming action; allow Him to take possession of you, to establish Himself in your soul so that He may live in you. “It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me” (Gal. 2:20).© Evangelization Station, 2010
