Have you ever been asked by a Protestant, especially an Evangelical or Fundamentalist, “Have you been born again?” When asked such a question, a Catholic should answer with an unwavering, “YES!”
John, Chapter 3 describes how this new birth and new life comes to us in baptism.
If questioned further about the basis for such a belief you can answer, “On the basis of the scripture testimony of John 3:5 and Titus 3:5.” By the way, have you compared these passages closely? Are you aware of how the early church interpreted these passages?
