What’s next for California? (Letter to the Editor)
On April 1, 2004 Holland’s parliament, a so-called Christian body, legitimized incest. The Amsterdam Assembly voted to recognize marriages between fathers and daughters. Californians, who support the values of Sen. Barbara Boxer and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, are most likely applauding this further descent into moral decadence. Holland, the country which, supports open prostitution and drug addiction has sunk to a new low. Granted, the vote was taken in an underhanded manner at the end of the parliamentary session, when most of the electors had retired for the day, believing that the major business of the session had been concluded. The pro-incest faction remained and was able to rally the necessary votes to not only get the issue procedurally recognized, but to get the legislation passed. The pro-incest faction purposefully presented the issue at the last minute and stacked the voting deck. "Yes, we did it on purpose," said Anke Boer, Vice President of the Holland Incest League, "but there's a higher end here than parliamentary red tape and we didn't break any rules." Rector Ian George of the Anglican Episcopal Church of Holland was quoted shortly after hearing about the vote: "I think even the Anglican community, which prides itself on progressive thinking, will draw a line on this one. Incestuous marriages, even between consenting adults, violates fundamental norms that have been recognized since Biblical times." To quote Ms. Boer again, "Father-daughter marriages recognize true life-long intimacy, from birth to death. These people are in committed relationships and, in fact, have been committed to each other a lot longer than other couples whose relationships we recognize. To deny them the right to marry is a violation of fundamental civil rights." How long will it take before incestuous marriage crosses the Atlantic and finds support in the United States, especially in California? And as we all know, as California goes, so goes the nation. Just how far are we willing to go in the name of “fundamental civil rights”? Apparently, this is the next step in the culture war. California culture values sex and individualism and supports the idea that "two consenting adults is the only criterion of morality." I’d be willing to bet that it won’t take long before someone in the California legislature introduces a similar initiative. We should all be fearful of the sex-obsessed demons, who are striving to subvert the soul of humanity.
