What really counts
One of the most hallowed spots in America is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It is located in the National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia, just a few minutes across the Potomac River in Washington, D.C. This unusual memorial is a tribute for all those fallen in battle who could not be identified. Inscribed on the tomb we find the acknowledgement of God’s divine power in these eloquent words: “Here lies in honored glory, an American soldier, known but to God.” © Evangelization Station, 2010 |
